Dog Blogs!

Now that it is getting cold out, we wanted to share with you what we have been reading while snuggled up with our dogs on the couch.  As a dog blog of minor proportions, these are some of the blogs we look up to.

Sidewalk Dog Blog is about all things related to dogs within the twin cities!  You can get a local taste of what is happening right here in our home town.

http://www.sidewalkdog.com/blog/

All things dog blog: perhaps one of the best blogs on the web concerning all things doggie.  Their creative and personal style make it an easy blog to read and follow.

http://www.allthingsdogblog.com/

The Daily Dog Blog is another fun and popular site.  It is filled with contests and cute pictures, as well as helpful information.

http://www.thedailydogblog.com/

The Dog Star Daily posts a lot of helpful behavioral information, and relates with personal information to make the reading and learning more fun.

Hope those will hold you over for a while-  Happy reading!  Oh- and one day maybe we will make it on one of the popular dog blog lists- who knows?

PINKtober Donations

We ended up raising $1400 to help fight breast cancer in the Twin Cities with our grooming fundraiser in October.  We made quite a few dogs pink in order to be walking advocates, but more importantly we exceeded our donation goal by $200!  We will be donating to a few organizations!  Thank you to all of you who had your dogs groomed in October, as well as our clients who went above and beyond by providing extra donations.

Give to the Max Day

Give to the Max Day is a day dedicated for Minnesotans to donate to their favorite charity.  Wagging Tails Pet Resort has already donated to the Minnesota Wisconsin Collie Rescue (MWCR) where our fabulous Ace the Collie came from.  His mom is a member of the board of directors for MWCR as well as their chairperson for the Give to the Max Day.  Save the date for this fantastic event!  Check them out here:

Coyote Rollers

Towards striving to be the safest boarding facility in the twin cities, we have recently invested in a new feature for our outdoor play yards: Coyote Rollers.  Every once in a blue moon there could be a dog with the ability to jump over even our very high fences, and to prevent this from ever happening we are installing these on each of our outdoor potty area fences.  We are excited to share just one of the many things that makes Wagging Tails Pet Resort safe and to give you just that much more peace of mind.  We have installed one so far and counting!

November Tail-Wagger is Sherlock!

Sherlock Hill is a three and a half year old mini Aussie who has been coming to play with us since June of 2010.  He is a very good player, and is good with just about every dog!  As a long time visitor to doggie daycare, Sherlock is very good at dog body language, and communicating with other dogs.  He especially loves playing with other medium dogs his size like shelties!  He loves the DCA’s and gives lots of hugs and kisses.  He is also a good dancer in the playroom.  We are so happy to name Sherlock the new tail-wagger of the month for November, and look forward to lots more playdates with him!
